Obituary: Steven C. “Linker” Elmblad

Steven C. “Linker” Elmblad, age 64, lifelong resident of L’Anse, passed away on Monday February 14^th, 2022. He was born in L’Anse on February 18^th, 1957, the son of late Rod and Norma (Oberg) Elmblad. Linker attended L’Anse Area Schools, graduating in 1975. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, and a true friend. During his younger years he worked for Sears of L’Anse, Ruona Forest Products, and Pettibone Corp. of Baraga. Later he became an independent painting contractor. Linker endeared himself to his customers through his work ethic, kindness, and his professionalism. In his last years he had many loyal customers in his lawn care and snow removal endeavors. He spent many years caring selflessly for his dear mother.

Linker is survived by his brother Jay of L’Anse and his sister Randa (Rick) Taube of Columbiaville, MI. Numerous, nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. He was preceded in death by his mother, Norma and father, Rod, an infant sister, Charryl Ann, and his brother, Rory.
