Sheryl Lynn Stapleford, age 75 of L’Anse, MI passed away on Thursday, November 25th, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born October 21, 1946 in L’Anse, MI daughter of Alvin and Erma (Wandell) Lydman. Sheryl graduated from L’Anse High School. She married Harlo Thomas Stapleford in 1967 and they resided in L’Anse.
Sheryl taught art classes, enjoyed ceramics, and was a 4-H leader while her kids were growing up. She was active in her children and grandchildren lives and will be greatly missed by her family. Sheryl was a member of the L’Anse Baptist Church.
Surviving are her five daughters, Tammy (David) LeClaire of L’Anse, Tracy (Brian) Teetzen of Middletown, OH, Shannon (Clyde) Miller of Hancock, Synthia Stapleford-Morin of L’Anse, Tommi Stapleford-Vasquez of Hancock; grandchildren, Brandon, Brynn, Skye (Brent), Cassidy, Randy, Ryan, Ramsey, Makalah (Seth), Onastatia (Brilynn); great grandchildren, Tristan, Kadance, Zalia, Ramsey Jr, Annabella, Kai, Kayson, Raelynn; sister Bonnie (Don) Biggers of Chico, CA; brother Michael Harsh of Hubbell, MI; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are her parents; husband Harlo Stapleford; and brother Alvin Michael Lydman.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, December 2nd from 4-9 p.m. at the American Legion Post 444 in Baraga. Burial will be in the spring in the L’Anse Evergreen Cemetery. Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
