Ronald Kevin Cholette age68 of Aura, MI passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at his home.
He was born July 14, 1952 in Wyandotte, MI son of Joseph and Elma (Stacks) Cholette. Ron graduated from Trenton High School in 1971, then attended Alpena Community College. In 1972 he moved to Aura and worked at Dan’s General Store in Aura. He then went to work as a machinist at VanStraten’s for over 10 years. Ron then moved to Arizona for a couple of years, and when he moved back he worked as a machinist at Johnson & Berry Co until he retired in 2014. He was married Mary Ann LaPlante, and together they had 2 children.
Ron enjoyed raising ducks and turkeys, mounting antlers, taxidermy, hunting, fishing and socializing.
Surviving are his son Timothy Cholette of Aura; brothers, Thomas (Marie) Cholette of Chassel, Randolph (Kami) Cholette of Skanee, Kenneth (Debbie) Cholette of Aura; sister Cynthia (Jay) Steinert of Gibraltar, MI; sister-in-law Cheryl Cholette of Seattle, WA; numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death are his parents; daughter Elizabeth Cholette; brother Daniel Cholette.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. The Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
