Robert “Bob” Richard Good, 76, of Lac La Belle, MI passed away on November 9, 2023 at Aspirus Hospital in Laurium, MI. Born in Cicero, IL, he was the son of the late Anthony and Genevieve (Gradomski) Good. Robert graduated from Palatine High School in Palatine, IL and worked as a Construction Foreman, constructing high-rises in the Chicagoland area until a work accident in 1989 caused him to retire.
After being a lifelong resident of the Chicagoland area, Bob and Doreen moved to Lac La Belle, where he loved to host and entertain family and friends. His favorite day of the year being the 4th of July, he was known for his extraordinary fireworks displays. Bob loved to work on his many project cars, especially his beloved 1969 El Camino. He also loved to garden and meticulously kept multiple strawberry patches. He was an avid hunter, and in years past spent many hunting seasons with his many friends at hunting camp.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Doreen (Kumpula) Good; dearly loved children Jennifer Good of Virginia MN, Julie (Good) Cindric and her husband Tom of Colorado Springs, CO, and Jonathan Good of Ingleside, IL; sister, Rhonda (Good) Weseman and her husband James of Green Cove Springs, FL; grandchildren Kyle Cindric, Alexandra Cindric, Matti Koski, Hunter Koski, Brooke Good, Jacob Good, and Jackson Good, as well as many nieces and nephews He also had a long, loving relationship with Doreen’s brothers Ron, Gary and Kent, whom he treated as his own brothers.
A visitation for Robert will be held at 1:00pm at Marsh Funeral Home, 305 N Cemetery Rd in Gurnee, IL on Monday, November 20, 2023 with a memorial service to follow at 3:00pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the family home on Lac La Belle in Mohawk, MI on July 4,2024.
