Robert Michael Holderness, 38, a resident of Cary, IL and former Houghton resident passed away Wednesday morning September 26, 2018, at the Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove, IL, following a short illness.
He was born on April 14, 1980, in Hancock, MI. Michael was raised in Houghton and Hancock before moving with his family to North Carolina, New Jersey and then to Lake in the Hills, IL, and was a graduate of Jacobs High School with the class of 1998. He then attended McHenry Community College. Michael has also resided in Texas for a short time.
Mr. Holderness had worked various jobs in the restaurant industry and had a passion for computer graphics.
Preceding him in death were his maternal grandparents.

A graveside service for Michael will be held 1:00 pm Saturday October 13, 2018, at the Atlantic Mine Cemetery with Rev. Bucky Beach to officiate.
