Robert F. “Bob” Filer, 78, passed away peacefully in the presence of his wife Debby on July 2, 2020 at Canal View Houghton County in Hancock due to complications of Parkinson’s Disease. He had been residing there for a year.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at the First United Methodist Church in Hancock with Reverend Scott Lindenberg to officiate. A visitation will be held at the church from 10 A.M. until the time of services, and additional time to view pictures and memorabilia will be held in the church fellowship hall following the service. Graveside rites will follow at Lakeside Cemetery in Hancock where the Copper Country Veterans Association will conduct military honors.
Because of the COVID 19 pandemic, the family asks that social distancing be followed and masks must be worn for indoor events.
