It is with great sadness, that the family of Robert (Bob) Bruce Parsons, of Dodgeville, announce his death on, April 27, 2023 at the age of 74. He was surrounded by his family at the time of his death at the Omega House, following a lengthy illness.
Bob was born on October 15, 1948,in Laurium, to the late Anna Margrete (Alm) Parsons and Fredrick Arthur Parsons Sr.
Bob will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Christine Ann (Johnson) Parsons, his son, Kevin (Stacey) Parsons, his daughters Kathleen (Stanley) Pelto and Tammy (Adam) Pindral. He will also be missed by his 13 Grandchildren, Brother Edward Parsons and a Sister Gladys Weaks Parsons, as well as numerous friends and family.
Bob worked at Horner Flooring for 41 years before retiring. Bob had many hobbies and most people knew him as the “Garbage guy.” Not only did he pick up garbage for neighbors and friends on Saturdays, but he would check on them too. He would help anyone with anything. He would plow for you, cut your grass, weld anything you needed, fix your vehicle, get you out of a ditch, pull your dock out of the water and even put it in. He enjoyed scuba diving in the summers, scratch off lottery tickets, Pepsi and had a black belt in Judo. He loved all animals, especially his 13 year old Chihuahua, Suzie.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at the Range Lounge in South Range from 1 until 3 P.M. Please join the family and share your favorite memories of Bob.
Donations can be made to the family to offset funeral costs. Remaining funds will be donated to the Omega House
