Obituary: Randall A. Nottke

Coles Creek

Randall A. Nottke, 60, a resident of Coles Creek, passed away suddenly at home Tuesday morning May 8, 2018.

He was born on September 20, 1957, in Elmhurst, IL, a son of the late Arthur and Beatrice (Wilewski) Nottke. Randy was raised in Elmhurst and was a graduate of Schaumburg High School with the class of 1975. He then attended College of DuPage where he received a degree in Recreational Leadership.

On May 2, 1981, he was united in marriage to the former Janine Peterson. The couple resided in the Chicago area until 1989 when they moved to make their home in Painesdale. Since 1999, Randy was blessed to be able to share his birthday with his pride and joy, their son Christopher. Since 2009, they have made their home in Coles Creek.

Mr. Nottke was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Houghton. For the past 23 years, he has been employed with the Warm Rain Company where he was currently the Human Resources Manager and Safety Manager. He was also a member of the Stanton Township Fire Department.

Randy was an avid sports fan and enjoyed officiating baseball, basketball, and football. He also enjoyed woodworking and carpentry projects around the home and spending time hunting, fishing, and sharing his sense of humor. He had a big heart and found great joy in helping others.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

His brothers and sister: Michael (Ellen) Nottke, Linda (Bob) Krzemienski and Daniel (Mary Jo) Nottke

His mother and father-in-law: Raymond and Janice Peterson

His sisters-in-law: Becky (Jack) Kaszubski and Karen (Bill) Clapp

A special aunt: Jeanne Rabine

Several nieces and nephews, who were very close to his heart, and great-nephews and cousins.

A memorial service for Randy will be held 7 pm Monday, May 21, 2018, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Houghton with Rev. Bucky Beach to officiate.

Friends may call on Monday, May 21, 2018, from 5 to 7 pm at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Houghton.
