Lake Linden: Paul F. Schick, 83, of Lake Linden, passed away at Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital on Monday, July 18, 2022.
He was born on January 5, 1939, a son of Leo and Agnes Schick. He graduated from Lake Linden-Hubbell High School in 1956.
He worked on the Great Lakes Steamships and at C&H Mining until 1964. He then worked at General Motors Headquarters as a security officer until his retirement in 1992.
Paul was married to his wife, Joan on February 27, 1960 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Lake Linden.
He was a member of Saint Joseph Church and had been a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Paul enjoyed wood working and wood crafts, caring for his lawn and garden, and meeting with his Tuesday Coffee Clutch at Candy’s in Hubbell. He loved new cars. He was an avid fan of the Detroit Lions and Tigers and Lake Linden-Hubbell Football.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother-Rod (Elizabeth) Schick, and a sister-in-law-JoAnn Schick.
He is survived by: his wife-Joan of Lake Linden; 3 daughters-Debora (Jesus) Rodriguez of Flint, Paula (Joseph) Doll of Grand Blanc, and Stephanie Schick of Grand Blanc; a granddaughter-Chessie (Justin) Passmore of Flint; 2 great-grandchildren-Dawson Berry and Keliegh Passmore; a brother-Gordon (Jane) Schick of Shelby Township, MI; and many other friends and extended family.
Graveside services will be held at a later date. The Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden is assisting the family.
Memorials in Lieu of Flowers may be directed to the Lake Linden-Hubbell Library or to 31 Backpacks.
