Mistadim Samuel DeCota, infant son of Yancey and Sarah (Prowdley) DeCota passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 9th, 2022 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital.
He was born August 17, 2022 in Ishpeming, MI. Mistadim was a happy boy, very alert and a good baby. He enjoyed going to grandma’s and seeing the dogs, and loved his brothers, and his dad’s voice made him smile his mom’s touch was calming he loved giving his mommy kisses an laying skin to skin on her chest listening to her heart beat
He was greatly loved by his parents Yancey and Sarah DeCota; brothers, Yancey Jr, Izaiah, Malachi, Xavier, Kingston; grandparents, LuAnn Prowdley-Johnson and James Johnson, George DeCota; great grandmothers Rosalie Hutchins & Debbie Johnson; aunts and uncles, Kristina (Zach) McConnell, Andrew Sr. (Karen) Gill, Samantha Johnson, Christopher (Sarah) Johnson, Cassandra Johnson, and John Wayne (Brittanee Gauthier) DeCota Sara Garver, Preceding him in death is his grandmother Cheryl Soujanen Great grandfather Jerry Lee Prowdley Sr.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 14th from 1-2:00 p.m. at the KBIC Zeba Hall. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. with Rodney Loonsfoot officiating. Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
