Michael John Shalifoe, age 57 of L’Anse, MI passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2020 at UP Health System Marquette, MI.
He was born June 2, 1963 in Milwaukee, WI son of Richard and Louise (Arsenault) Shalifoe. Mickey graduated from L’Anse High School in 1981. He was a member of KBIC. Mickey liked to fish and hunt.
Surviving are his father Richard (Gloria) Shalifoe of L’Anse; son Michael Shalifoe of L’Anse; daughter Ashley (Jacob) Smith of Baraga; siblings, Richard Shalifoe of Baraga, Victoria Shalifoe of L’Anse, Robin Gauthier of Baraga, Shawn Lussier of Baraga, William Genschow of Green Bay, WI, Robert Genschow of L’Anse, Nora DeCota of L’Anse, Shanna DeCota of L’Anse , Autumn Durant of L’Anse; grandchildren, Faylee Smith and Ahniyah Shalifoe.
He is preceded in death by his mother Louise Shalifoe; grandparents, Richard and Sarah Shelifoe, and Margaret Forcia.
Visitation will be on Friday, August 28th from 12-1:00 p.m.at the Zeba Hall. A traditional funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Assinins Cemetery. The Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
