Mary Jane Ruth Nankervis, age 88 of Aura, MI passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at Bayside Village in L’Anse.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 13th at 1:00 p.m. in the Skanee Cemetery. Pastor Peter Suomela will officiate. A luncheon will immediately follow at the Aura Fire hall. Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family

Mary Jane Ruth Nankervis, age 88 of Aura, MI passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at Bayside Village in L’Anse.
She was born April 23, 1930 in Wittenberg, WI daughter of Myron and Ruth (Salzman) Pike. Mary Jane married John “Jack” Nankervis on April 3, 1948. The lived in Skanee, from 1948-86, when they moved to Aura. Mary Jane graduated from L’Anse High School in 1982. She was the Director at Baragaland Senior Center from 1978 until 1982 when she retired.
Mary Jane was a member of the VFW Auxiliary. Her hobbies include crocheting, crossword puzzles, playing cards, and going on the computer.
Surviving are he sons, Gary “Chuck” (Patti) Nankervis of Huron Bay, Terry Nankervis of L’Anse; daughters, Darlene (Ed) Kilpela of Aura, Mary Lynn (Rich) Usimaki of L’Anse; brothers, David Pike of Marion, WI, Arlin (Mona) Pike of Clintonville, WI, Lawrence (Janet) Pike of Wausau, WI; sisters, Geraldine Filipiak of Schofield, WI, Carolyn Theil of Appleton, WI, Karen (Lee) Sickler of Wittenberg, WI, Roberta (Dave) Heindle of Phillips, WI; 12 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are her parents; husband Jack; daughter Nancy Nankervis; brother Leo Pike; and granddaughter Kathryn Nankervis.
A graveside service will be held in the Skanee Cemetery in the future. Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
