Obituary: Mary E. Gravitter

Calumet – Mary E. Gravitter, 93, of Calumet, Michigan passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 in Tucson, Arizona. She was born in Calumet, Michigan to William and Mina (Echline) Dwyer on March 18, 1926. She attended the Calumet schools and worked for many years in the bookkeeping office at Vertin’s Department Store in Calumet. After her retirement, she spent part of each year in Tucson with her family. Preceding Mary in death were her husband Robert (Bob, Besz) Gravitter, her parents, her sister Clair (Dwyer) Shute, and two brothers, Robert and Clarence Dwyer. Mary is survived by her sister Shirley (Dwyer) Abele, brother-in-law Bernard Shute, nieces Terri Drielick, Susan Lazzaretto and Lisa Mabey, and nephew William D. Dwyer. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday February 18th at the Ryan Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 19th at the Sacred Heart Church in Calumet, Michigan. www.ryanfhcalumet.com.
