Hubbell: Mary Alice Hosang, age 75, of Hubbell, passed away at Canal View-Houghton County on February 22, 2020.
She was born in Hubbell on September 17, 1944, a daughter of Lawrence & Monica Hosang.
After graduating from the Lake Linden-Hubbell High School in 1962, she entered St. Joseph Convent in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where she earned a degree in elementary education from Alverno College. She taught for a year in Waumandee, Wisconsin, before returning home to Hubbell. She spent the rest of her teaching career working at the CLK Public Schools where she taught the Sixth Grade until her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Lawrence and a sister, Laurine.
She is survived by: Sister-Ann Hosang of Lake Linden (and special four-legged friend Buffy); Brothers-John Hosang of Hancock and Carl (Julie) Hosang of Ispheming; Nieces and Nephews-Lori (Todd) LaRoux, Jeri Hosang, Beth (Dan) McKellar, Bryan (Stephanie) Hosang, Daphne Hosang, Crystal (Steven) Leister, and Danielle (Gary) King. She is also survived by numerous great nieces/nephews, great-great nieces/nephews and cousins as well as many special friends and staff members at Canal View-Houghton County.
At the request of the deceased, there will be a private family service. Spring burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Lake Linden.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be directed to a charitable organization of your choice.
