Martha Eleanor (Gordon) Kyllonen, 72, a resident of Painesdale passed away Monday morning December 7, 2020, at the Omega House in Houghton following a lengthy illness.
She was born on March 29, 1948, in Hancock, MI, a daughter of the late Harold and Elaine (Anttonen) Puska. Martha was raised in Quincy Hill and was a graduate of the Hancock High School with the class of 1966.
On May 11, 1968, she was united in marriage to Gordon Kyllonen. The couple had resided in Detroit, Marquette, Washington State, Ishpeming, Milwaukee and since 1981 have made their home in Painesdale.
Martha was a stay-at-home mom to raise her children. She was a waitress/hostess and also cleaning homes from time to time. She was a talented person with arts and crafts she also enjoyed working a various project from Macramé, to painting and coloring. She also loved to spend time with her friends and family especially during the holidays, Christmas was her favorite holiday. Martha’s keen sense of humor and wit could charm anyone.
Preceding her in death were her Son, Kevin Kyllonen, her parents, her sisters; Judy Sziber and Geraldine Laplander, her brother Peter Puska and her son-in-law: George DeRosier Jr.

Graveside Service for Martha Kyllonen, 72, a resident of Painesdale who passed away December 7, 2020, will be held 10 am Sunday, August 29, 2021, at the Elo Cemetery.
Following the burial at 11 am, a celebration of life picnic for Martha will be held at Agate Beach, which was Martha’s favorite place to spend time.
Martha’s family would like to thank the staff of the Omega House, Portage Home Health and Hospice and the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home for the care given during this difficult time.
