On October 16, 1954, she married Carl Lohela and spent her happiest years as a homemaker, enjoying cooking, gardening, and spending time with her husband, their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She and Carl celebrated 50 years of marriage before he passed away in January 2007.

She was preceded in death by her husband Carl; her parents, William and Ruth (Peltier) Barth; her brother Bob Barth; and her sister Mary Ruth Johnson.

Marilyn created a wonderful home, a place where family and friends gathered to share life and love. She has left us a great legacy of what really matters in life—people. She is greatly loved and will be missed by her family.
