Margaret “Pitty Ann” Roth, 65, a resident of Dodgeville, passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2022, at Westgate Nursing and Rehabilitation in Ironwood following a lengthy illness.
Margaret was born on December 11, 1956, in Hancock, to the late Thomas and Margaret (Beauchamp) Golden. She was raised in Dodgeville and attended St. Ignatius Schools before attending Houghton High School, graduating with the class of 1974. On December 15, 1973, she was united in marriage to John Roth. The couple resided in Houghton and Baltic before making their home in Dodgeville where they raised their two daughters. Margaret began working for Pamida in Houghton and later worked briefly for Portage Township.
Mrs. Roth was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church in Houghton. She enjoyed cross-stitching, crocheting, playing cards with her friends, and babysitting for cousins. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Steven Golden.

Her daughters: Tonya (Brian Campbell) Aho of Elizabethton, TN
Shannon (Chad) Schmitt of Lake Linden
Her grandchildren: Austin Roth, Selina Aho, Isaiah Aho, Hannah Salthun, Liliana Aho, Alex Schmitt, Sophia Schmitt, Maggie Campbell and Kayleb Campbell.
He siblings, Cindy (Dan) Caron and James and Vicky Golden
Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A mass of Christian burial for Margaret will be held at 11am on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church in Houghton with Rev. Fr. John Martignon to officiate. Burial will take place in the Forest Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in Hancock from 5 to 7 pm and again on Wednesday from 10 to 10:45 am at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be directed to the Omega House, 2211 Maureen Lane, Houghton, MI 49931 in memory of Margaret Roth.
