Margaret Ann Byington, age 74 of L’Anse, MI passed away on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at her home with her family by her side.
She was born February 22, 1947 on Signal Mountain, TN daughter of William and Margaret (Bradshaw) Plank. In 1967 Margaret married William Byington and they resided in Florida until he passed away in 1982. She then moved to Tennessee and had a special companion Adis Hunt Sr, he passed away in 2017. Margaret moved to L’Anse in 2019 to live closer to her sister.
She enjoyed doing puzzles, playing card games, gardening, flower beds, and traveling.
Surviving are his son William Byington of Pikeville, TN; sister Martha (Dennis) Sohlden of Chassell, MI; grandchildren, Jessica (Christopher) Hailey of Pikeville, TN, William Byington Jr of Dunlap, TN, Cris Byington of Hixson, TN; great grandchildren, Avery Hailey, Jaxson Byington, and Madison Byington.
Preceding her in death are her parents; husband William Byington; siblings, Charles Plank, Willie Hunt, Vernon Plank, and Horace Plank.
No services will held. Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
