Mardell Rasinowich, 85, a resident of Calumet passed away at Mission Point in Hancock on Friday October 30, 2020.
She was born on May 28, 1935 in Ohio a daughter of the late Joseph and Doris (Rock) St. Germain.
On June 27, 1959 she was united in marriage to Ernest Rasinowich and he preceded her in death on March 5, 2008.
Mardell graduated from Calumet High School with the class of 1955.
In her early working years, she worked at the Calumet Theater, a teachers aid at the Morrison School, at Minnetonka in Copper Harbor and most recently as a nurse’s aid at Our Lady of Mercy in Hubbell for 20 + years.
Mardell loved to hunt and fish with her husband and often took home more than he did. Her biggest enjoyment was the trips to the casino with her friends. She spent time wintering in Florida and also enjoyed doing ceramics and pottery.
Preceding her in death was her grandson Phillip Michael Rogers and a son in law Matthew Rogers.
Surviving are: Son John (Michaela) Rasinowich of E. Grosse Point Shores
Daughter: Shari Rogers of Calumet
Her Grandchildren: Cole Preston Rasinowich, Jason and Jamie Rogers.
Special Cousin: Jack (Tom Otis) St. Germain of Minnesota
A funeral mass will be held on Thursday November 5, 2020 at 12:30 PM in St. Paul the Apostle Church in Calumet with Fr. Corbin Eddy to officiate.
Visitation will be held at the Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home in Calumet on Thursday November 5, 2020 from 10-12:00 PM
Burial will be in the Lake View Cemetery Section D-2 in Calumet.
