Obituary: Lynn Marie McKinstry

Lynn Marie McKinstry, 62, of Post Road in Lake Linden, Michigan, passed away at her home on Sunday, January 28th, 2024.

                Lynn was born on October 18^th, 1961, a daughter of the late Berton Karpinen and Charlotte Grandchamp.  She attended Hancock High School.

                Lynn was employed as a home health care assistant for two agencies, taking care of veterans, before she fell ill.  She loved music, horses, and her dog-Nikko, her grandchildren, nephew, children, and friends.

                Besides her parents, Lynn was preceded in death by her son-Scott C. Walman, and her husband-James McKinstry.  She is survived by: her daughters-Amanda Chevalier of Hancock and Erica (Erik) LaBeau of Lake Linden; grandchildren-Garrett Chevalier of Hancock; Tristyn and Alexis of L’Anse, and Ariana LaBeau of Lake Linden; sister-Janice Karpinen of Paramount, CA; and brother-Mark Karpinen of Hubbell.

                The Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date by Lynn’s family.  The Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden is assisting with arrangements.
