Obituary: Lorne “Bob” Kinsman

Lorne “Bob”: Kinsman, 75, a resident of Calumet, passed away on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at the Omega House in Houghton.
He was born on October 5, 1943, in Detroit, to Lorne and Elizabeth (Kazora) Kinsman.
He attended the local schools.
Following high school, Bob enlisted with the United States Army. He served in Germany, and was honorably discharged in 1964.
After being discharged, he began working for various machine shops in Michigan. He retired from Jorgenson Conveyors in Milwaukee.
Bob was an avid Detroit Red Wings, Tigers, and Lions fan,
You could always find him putzing around the garage. He enjoyed working with any sort of tools. He was a very crafty and picky handyman.
He married Janet Gurk on October 28, 1983, she preceded him in death in 2003.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lorne Kinsman and Elizabeth Tauriainen, his Son, Steven, Brother, William, and his nephew, Donald Elander.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 291 in Lake Linden.
He is survived by:

Friends may call at the Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home on Saturday, October 27, 2018 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at the Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home with Pastor Ken Toth to officiate.
Following the service the Copper Country Veterans Association will conduct Military Honors.
