Obituary: Linda Osmak

UPDATE: Linda Osmak age 67, passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2019, at the Houghton County Medical Care Facility.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday May 25, 2019 at 11:00 am at the Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Langseth to officiate. Friends may call at the Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home from 10:00 until the time of the service at 11:00.Burial will take place in the Calvary Cemetery in Ahmeek.The Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home in Calumet is assisting the family. 

Calumet – Linda Osmak age 67, passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2019, at the Houghton County Medical Care Facility. She was born in Detroit, Michigan, a daughter of Joseph and Irene Osmak and graduated from Redford High School in 1970. Linda moved to Calumet in 1979 and resided at the Park Avenue Apartments. She was a confirmed choir member of Redford Lutheran Church, Detroit, and later Faith Lutheran Church, Calumet. Linda enjoyed doing volunteer work and attending the community workshop in Houghton. Linda later became a resident of Angel’s Place in 2000 in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan before returning to the area in 2004. She is survived and lovingly remembered by sisters Frances Osmak of Denver, CO, and Kathryn Hodor of Waterford, MI and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Margaret Peurasaari and brother Leo Peurasaari. A graveside service will be held on Saturday May 25th at 11 a.m. at the Calvary Cemetery in Ahmeek. Ryan Funeral Home is serving the family.
