As received from the Pearce Funeral Home:
Lawrence J Posz, 68, of Lake Linden, formerly of Moses Lake, Washington, passed away at his home on July 26, 2024. He was surrounded by his loving family in his final hours.
He was born in Wichita, Kansas on April 26, 1956, the son of James and Elizabeth (Martin) Posz.
On August 21, 2013, he married Linda (LaHaie) at a quaint little chapel in Nevada.
Lawrence was a man of humor and wisdom, cherishing every moment he spent with his loved ones and friends. He enjoyed yearly camping trips with his sons and grandchildren and took great pleasure in touring the state of Washington with his wife. Larry was an avid golfer. He achieved a golfer’s dream of getting a hole in one, on tee one at Sandy Pebbles, in Allouez with his son Zack cheering him on. Larry’s favorite camping memory was backpacking up to Paradise Lakes, WA, with his son Michael when he was eight. They spent five days in a tent playing cards, and inventing Poszeroni. He looked forward to fishing and boating in the summer with family and friends. He loved his grandchildren and shared many special moments camping, boating, baking, gardening, and playing pirates.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Tahner LaHaie, and his beloved dog Piper Doodles.
He is survived by wife Linda (LaHaie) of Lake Linden; his two sons- Michael (Tammy) Posz of Auburn, WA, Zackary Posz of Saint Johns, MI, three stepchildren- Ryan Tauriainen of Plymouth, WI; Andy (Amy) of Lake Linden; Jessica LaHaie of Lake Linden; twelve grandchildren- Jesse, Wyatt, Cole, Merida, Iris, Belle, Brady, Nick (Gabby), Shea, Chase, Jackson, and Quinley; three great grandchildren-Emilia, Elle, and Eden-three sisters-Barb Tudor, Connie Hughs, Sandi Posz; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
His family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Stephanie and Rebecca for their superior care and dedication to our beloved husband and father. We will always remember their warmth and compassion during his final days.
Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Monday, July 29, at Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden with a Prayer Service at 6:45 P.M.
