Obituary: Kelly Aho

Kelly (Cima) Aho passed peacefully with her family at her side on October 28th, 2021.

Kelly was born on June 11, 1972 at Calumet Public Hospital to David and Sharon (Moilanen) Cima. She attended local schools. She graduated from Calumet High School in 1990 and Suomi College with her AAS in Nursing in 1994. In her 40s she went back to school for her Bachelors in Nursing and was proud to graduate from Finlandia University in 2018 with her BSN.

Kelly was united in marriage to Mark Aho on September 17, 2005. Together they welcomed Kailin Marie Aho and Miles Matthew Aho; they are the lights of her life. Mark and Kelly built their dream home in 2020.

Kelly is survived by her husband, Mark and their children, Kailin and Miles of Allouez, her parents, David (Deb Allain) Cima of Calumet; Sharon (Mike) Stefanich of New Allouez; siblings John (Holly) Cima of Ahmeek, and Sarah (Mark) Niemela of New Allouez; and sister in law Kelly (Gared) Halverson of Lake Orion, Michigan. She is further survived by in laws Wes Aho of Mohawk and Marie (Nick Rajacic) Roznik of New Allouez, as well as niece and nephews Braydon and Hunter Cima, Drake and Jade Niemela, and Owen Halverson. She leaves behind her special aunt, uncle, and cousins, Kassy and Guy St. Germain of Laurium, and Lindsay St. Germain of Roeland Park, Kansas. She also leaves behind her dogs Winnie and Bane.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents John and Mary Cima and Emil “Amy” Moilanen and Doris Zigman all of Ahmeek.

Kelly had a love of reading and a great sense of humor. She was kind and caring and she touched countless lives during her 26 years as an RN. She was close to her family and cherished her time with them. She also is survived by good friends who provided a lifetime of the greatest memories, shared heartache, more fun than any one person deserves, great times over beers and never ending laughter.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday November 2, 2021 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home in Calumet.

A private family Funeral Mass will be held.

Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery in Ahmeek.
