Kathryn Marie D’Agostino, 95, of Houghton, Michigan passed away suddenly at Advent Celebration Hospital in Kissimmee Florida on March 16, 2022.
Kathryn was born on June 7, 1926, a daughter of Albert and Marie Pelland of Lake Linden Michigan.
Kathryn was united in marriage to John L. D’Agostino of Chicago, IL on June 17 1950. Kathryn and John raised 3 children: John A D’Agostino and Stephen D’Aostino, both of E Grosse Pointe Shores Michigan, and Susan(Perry) Luperini of Tampa Florida. They enjoyed many years with their grandchildren, Adam Luperini of Naperville IL and Dean (Hannah) Luperini of Fishers, Indiana, visiting them at their lake property, enjoying boating, fishing, snowmobiling and camping. Kathryn is the very proud great grandmother of Henry and Rory Luperini of Fishers, Indiana. Kathryn has many nieces and nephews.
Kathryn received her nursing degree from St. Joseph’s school of nursing and she was in the Army Nurse Cadet Corps during World War II.
Kathryn was an active member of St Joseph’s Church in Lake Linden Michigan.
She enjoyed baking, cooking, boating, watching the hummingbirds in their feeders every spring, and solving word jumble books and crossword puzzles as a past- time.
Her favorite travel plans were to travel, each winter for the last 47 years, to Florida, to escape the Michigan winters and enjoy time with friends they have met from all over the United States.
Kathryn will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, March 24, at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Lake Linden with Father Joseph Boakye Yiadom to officiate.
In lieu of flowers donations will be appreciated in Kathryn’s name be sent to St. Judes Hospital for Children
