Kathleen Virginia Fair, age 86 of Aura, Michigan went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 14th, 2023 at Bayside Village in L’Anse, MI.
She was born April 5, 1937 in Wyandotte, MI daughter of Paul and Margaret (Stanton) Noland. Kathy graduated from Trenton High School in 1955. She was married to Jack Nygard, and they had one son, Dean. Kathy later married Steven Fair on October 3, 1975 in Bluffton, Indiana. They resided in Fort Wayne, IN where she worked as a sales clerk in various stores. In 2006, they moved to Aura, MI.
Kathy attended the L’Anse Methodist Church and was a member of the Aura Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed going to garage sales, refinishing old furniture, taking rides in the woods with her husband on the side by side, going for walks and hiking the Porcupine Mountain trails. Kathy had many friends and they will remember Kathy for having a wonderful sense of humor. She was a devoted wife and was very unselfish, always putting other people ahead of her. .
Surviving are her husband Steven Fair of Aura; son Dean (Susan) Nygard of Boise, Idaho; step children, Gene (Kim) Fair of Monterey, Indiana; brother Doug Noland of Trenton, MI; sister Paulette Stockman of Punta Gorda, FL; grandchildren, Ann, Christine, Michelle, Joe; and five step grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 19th, at 11:00 a.m. at the L’Anse Methodist Church with Rev. John Henry officiating. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service. a Luncheon will follow the service in the church hall.
IN lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the L’Anse Methodist Church, 305 N. Main St, L’Anse, MI 49946. Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
