Katharyn Frances Bishop, age 57 of Covington, MI passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at U. P. Health System Marquette, MI.
She was born September 19, 1960 in Oak Lawn, IL daughter of Richard and Bernadette Bishop. Katharyn graduated from Mount Assisi High School in Lamont, IL and then attended college in Mobile, AL.
Katharyn has been with the love of her life, Karl Ditschler for over 35 years. They owned and operated the Die Bier Stube Restaurant in Peotone, IL for 12 years. Upon retiring they moved to Covington in 2013 and she has been working at the Hardwood Steakhouse until recently. Katharyn liked to travel, sight-seeing, snowmobiling, being outdoors.
Surviving are Karl Ditschler of Covington; numerous friends and her dogs, Yooper and Wolfie.
Preceding her in death are her parents; brother Kevin Bishop; and her beloved dogs Junior and Rommel.
A celebration of Katharyn’s life will be held this summer. The Jacobson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
