Karen Lee (Karr) Hershey, age 81 of Sidnaw, MI passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 27, 2020 in Sidnaw.
She was born Mary 29, 1938 in Garrett, IN daughter of Harry and Georgia (Bennett) Karr. Karen graduated in 1955 from Orland High School, then in 1959 she received a Bachelor degree in nursing from Methodist School of Nursing in Parkview, IN. She worked as a Registered Nurse for Cameron, Lakeland, and Carlyn Park hospitals, retiring in 2001. Karen married Jerry D. Hershey on April 13, 2001 in Indiana, then resided in Sidnaw.
Surviving are her husband Jerry; sons, Matt (Veranique) Nodine of Pleasant Lake, IN, Mark (Cindy) Nodine of Angola, IN; grandchildren, Brittany, Jacob, Keegan, Isaiah Nodine, Stephanie Lautzenhiser; 5 great grandchildren; niece Traci Hall and numerous cousins.
Preceding her in death are her parents; son Michael Nodine; and brother Roger Karr.
A funeral service will be held in the future. Burial will be in Angola, IN. The Jacobson Funeral Home in L’Anse, MI is assisting the family.
