Heaven gained another angel on November 4th, 2020. Karen E. Hall lost her courageous battle with colon cancer at the age of 46. She is survived by her husband Scott Hall and adorable fur babies Shadow and Abby of Chassell, her mother Evelyn Welch of L’Anse, her sister Cyndi (Tim) Martin and nephews Danny and Jason. of Belvidere, IL, and her In-laws Ed and Lil Hall of Chassell. She was preceded in death by her father Jerry Welch, her maternal grandparents William and Milma Jolgren of Pelkie. Special family friends, Christa & Rusty, Jeff, Kerry, Ashley, Jean and Jessica.
She was born September 27, 1974 in Illinois. Graduated from L’Anse high school and Northern Michigan University before earning her master’s degree at Michigan Tech.
She will be remembered for her beautiful heart and soul. She was an active member of the Michigan Tech community where she was employed for 22 years as the Director of Information Services in the Student Affairs division. She taught various courses both at Tech and Gogebic community college. She was the treasurer of the Blue line Club for the Tech Hockey team.
She loved taking her beloved dogs for walks, camping, hockey, softball.
She will greatly be missed by all who loved and knew her. While her life was short, her touch and smile impacted many.
Graveside Services will be held 12 noon on Sunday, November 8, 2020 at the Pelkie Cemetery with Pastor John Ansell to officiate.
