June N. Britz, 93, a resident of San Tan Valley, AZ, and former resident of Houghton passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2022, in San Tan Valley, AZ.
She was born on September 29, 1928, in Gilman, CO, a daughter of the late George and May (Fairchild) Frey. June was raised in Gilman and was a graduate of the Gilman High School.
On June 27, 1951, she was united in marriage to Aloysius Britz. While Aloysius was in the service the couple was able to reside in various parts of the United States and Europe. Once Aloysius retired from the service the couple enjoyed traveling with their Airstream trailer visiting different parts of the United States for many years. They had resided in Wisconsin Rapids, WI, and Texas before moving to make their home in San Tan Valley, AZ. On March 7, 2019, Aloysius preceded June in death.
Mrs. Britz was an active member of the Eastern Star for many years. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and family.
Preceding her in death were her husband Aloysius, her sons; Tim and Kenneth, her grandson Jason and her parents.
Surviving are:
Four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren
Funeral services for June will be held 1:00 pm Thursday, April 21, 2022, at the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Hancock with Rev. Brahm Semmler Smith to officiate. Spring burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery of Houghton.
Friends may call on Thursday, April 21, 2022, from 12:00 noon until time of services at the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Hancock.
