Judy (Dennis) Kotila, 70, a resident of Klingville, passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at Canal View – Houghton County where she had been a resident patient.
She was born on August 31, 1952, in L’Anse, MI, a daughter of the late Uno and Ilmi (Syria) Suojanen. Judy was raised in Elo and attended the John A. Doelle School before graduating from the Houghton High Scholl with the class of 1970.
On August 30, 1970, she was united in marriage to Dennis Kotila. The couple resided in Klingville and raised their family.
Mrs. Kotila had worked in the housekeeping department at the Houghton County Medical Care Facility retiring in 2014 after 38 years of service to the facility. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Chassell, enjoyed reading and being outdoors golfing and riding horses.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her sisters Ruth Mantta and Helen Hyrkas.

Matthew Kotila of Misery Bay
Her grandchildren
Her sister: Adele (Terry) Sintkowski of Keweenaw Bay
Several Nieces, nephews and cousins
