Judith F. (Chester) Aho, 77, a resident of Dover, passed away Sunday evening February 4, 2018, at the Houghton County Medical Care Facility in Hancock.
She was born on July 22, 1940, in Laurium, MI, on July 22, 1940, a daughter of the late Edmund and Viola (Wirsu) Koskiniemi. Judy was raised in Mohawk and attended the Mohawk school before graduating from the Calumet High School with the class of 1958.
Judith worked for Famers & Merchants Insurance Company before being united in marriage to Chester Aho on December 23, 1961. The couple had resided in Junction City, KS, Fulton, Bay City and Chassell where they raised their eight children. Since 2003, they have made their home in Dover Location during retirement.
Mrs. Aho was a member of the First Apostolic Lutheran Church of Houghton. She had also worked for Northern Mutual until her retirement in 2000. Judy enjoyed visiting with family and friends, traveling and spending time at the family cottage in Little Traverse.
Also preceding her in death were an infant brother & sister and a granddaughter: Andra Aho.

Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and caring neighbors and friends.
Funeral services for Judith will be held 11 am Thursday February 8, 2018, at the First Apostolic Lutheran Church of Houghton with David Taivalkoski to officiate. Spring burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery of Calumet.
Friends may call on Wednesday February 7, 2018, from 4 to 8 pm at the First Apostolic Lutheran Church of Houghton and on Thursday from 10 am until time of services at the church.
