Obituary: Josie Lynn Klemett

As received from the Memorial Chapel & Plowe Funeral Homes:

Josie Lynn Klemett, 24, a resident of Baltic gained her wings after a long courageous battle with Leukemia on Saturday October 24, 2020 at UP Health – Marquette General with her family by her side.

She was born on December 6, 1995 in Marquette, MI, a daughter of David and Heidi (Ollanketo) Klemett. She was born a premie and was a fighter since day one. Josie was raised in Baltic and was a graduate of Jeffers High School with the Class of 2017. Josie’s greatest accomplishment was becoming a mommy to her beautiful daughter Charlotte.

Throughout Josie’s 4 year battle she shared her difficult journey with cancer. She showed us all the strength it took to overcome Leukemia. The impact she made by sharing her journey has stretched far and wide and has made an impression on so many forever.

Anyone that knew Josie knew she loved to crack jokes and make us all laugh. She loved driving and taking long rides while listening to her favorite music. She showed us all how to enjoy the small things; a delicious cup of coffee, dipping our toes in Lake Superior and just spending time together as a family. She was also a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church in South Range.

Preceding her in death was her twin sister Joy, her maternal grandparents; her paternal grandfather; 3 uncles and an aunt. She is survived by her daughter Charlotte Klemett, of Baltic, her mother Heidi Klemett and Hubie LeRue of Baltic, who never left her side. Her father David Klemett of Painesdale, her brother Jordan (Amber) Klemett of Baltic, her sisters, Johannah (Patrick Eakin) Klemett of South Range, and Jannelle Klemett of Hancock. Her paternal grandmother Barbara Klemette of Painesdale,

Her Aunts & Uncles:Holly (Charlie) Strauch of Atlantic Mine, Heather (Mike) McCloskey of Chassell, Mona (Dennis) Juntunen of Painesdale, Tammy Klemett of Dollar Bay, and Terry Klemett of Eagle River, WI. Her nieces and nephews; Mason, Eliana and Weston. Numerous cousins, especially her favorite Jenn Aho of Appleton, WI.

A Mass of Christian burial for Josie will be held at 12:00 pm Saturday, October 31, 2020, at Holy family Catholic Church of South Range with Fr. John Martignon to officiate. Burial will be in the Mt. View Cemetery of South Range.
