Jorjean Kay Nakkula of Copper City, MI passed away on August 27th, 2024 at home in Eagle River, MI. Jorjean was born on January 2nd, 1952 in Hancock, MI to Doug and Shirley Morgan. She graduated from Hancock Central High and Finlandia University. Jorjean worked as a nurse at Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital until her retirement. She met the love of her life Robert and they were married on February 27th, 1988. Jorjean loved her family and puppy dog Liz, reading, watching movies, and spending time at her beach camp in Eagle River.
Jorjean is preceded in death by her parents Doug and Shirley Morgan and son, Charles Hamalainen. Jorjean is survived by husband Robert Nakkula, daughter Brittney Bedore, son and daughter-in-law Roy and Lauren Nakkula, and granddaughters Amber Bedore and Laureline Nakkula.
A service for Jorjean Nakkula will be held at Erickson-Crowley-Peterson in Calumet, MI on August 30th, 2024, visitation at 1:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Salvation Army.
