John Kohut, 71, a resident of Calumet passed away at the Green Tree of Hubbell on Tuesday September 7, 2021.
He was born on September 11, 1949 in Franklin Twp., Pennsylvania a son of the late Andy and Evelyn (Burkey) Kohut.
He attended and graduated from Alcona High School in Lincoln, MI and later received his Bachelors’ and Master’s degrees in Chemistry from Michigan Technological University.
He was united in marriage to Donna Jukuri on September 4, 1976 in Hancock, MI
He was employed at Union Carbide Corp., Pellet Technology Corp. and Mead Corp. as a chemist.
John was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Andrea Kohut.
Surviving are: His Wife Donna
Sisters: Michele (Daniel) Dorr and Rowena Couture
Brother: Carl (Amy Vliet) Kohut
Mother in law: Marilyn Jukuri
Brothers in law: Paul (Beth) Jukuri and Mark Jukuri
Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday September 16, 2021 at 11:00 AM in Grace Christian Fellowship Church 25890 Pine Street Calumet, MI 49913.
