John “Jay Bird” Enrietti, 77, a longtime resident of Park Avenue in Calumet passed away on Saturday December 17, 2022 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
He was born on January 13, 1945 in Detroit to John and Elizabeth (Ivey) Enrietti. They moved to the Copper Country when Jay Bird was a child and he attended the local schools.
Jay Bird worked for his parents at Enrietti’s Restaurant, the cable company, and Bacco Construction before purchasing and operating his own business, Jays Place, until his retirement.
He is preceded in death by his parents John and Elizabeth Enrietti and his loyal companion, Brandy.
He is survived by
his sons: Tracey Enrietti
Brian Enrietti
His grandchildren: Stephanie, Devin, Toni, and Dominic
His great grandchildren: Vivian, Juliet, Marissa, and Jayla
His uncles: Joseph Enrietti
Jim (Teri) Enrietti
And many cousins and friends
Per Jay Bird’s request, cremation has taken place and burial will be in the family lot in Lake View Cemetery at a later date.
