John H. Roberts, age 65, of L’Anse, MI passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born in L’Anse, MI on July 14, 1953 the son of the late Raymond and Jacqueline (Gerard) Roberts. John attended school in L’Anse. He had been employed as a laborer for Ojibwa Construction. John enjoyed taking rides in the woods, fishing and watching the animal channel. He loved spending time with his family.
John is survived by his loving daughters Stacy DeCota of L’Anse, Kristy (Todd) Teikari of L’Anse and Jill Roberts of L’Anse, grandchildren Nora DeCota, Shanna DeCota, TJ Teikari, Mariana Teikari and Autumn Durant, his significant other Barbara Knipp, his brothers and sisters and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He is also survived by his dog “Naboob”. He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Jacqueline, brothers and sisters and his lifelong partner Mary DeCota.
A family celebration of John’s life will be held at a later date.
The Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L’Anse, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
