John Anton Spagnotti of Ahmeek, Michigan passed away on August 20, 2024 at the Omega House in Houghton, Michigan. John was born on January 1, 1948 in Laurium, Michigan to Anniable and Marcella (Hocking) Spagnotti.
After his schooling, John went on to become a member of the US military, serving in the Army for 25 years. John then went on to work for Hertz Corporation in Texas, which he retired from in 2014. Once retired, John moved back home to the Keweenaw.
John loved to hunt, go to gun shows, cook, go 4 wheeling, and he loved his western movies.
John is preceded in death by his parents, Anniable and Marcella Lahti, a son Jimmy, sister Kathy, brother in-law Ken Therrian.
John is survived by his daughters, Diane Dulong (Scott) and Angie Spagnotti (Jim), sisters Marianne Piirala (AL) and Suzanne Therrian, brothers Jerry (Denise), Michael and David (Jenelle), favorite grandson Anton, Devin, granddaughters Hannah, Alee, Raylee and Cari, three great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, special friend, Sue Mrosz, and his favorite bird Troubles.
A service for John Spagnotti will be held at the Erickson-Crowley-Peterson Funeral Home in Calumet, Michigan at 1:00pm on August 23, 2024. A visitation will be held at Erickson-Crowley-Peterson Funeral Home in Calumet, Michigan from 11:00am-1:00pm on August 23, 2024.
