Jeremy J. Collins, age 44 of L’Anse, MI passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2022. He was born in Houghton, MI on December 9, 1977 the son of Thomas and Candace “Candy” (VanHaecke) Collins. Jeremy graduated from L’Anse High School in 1997. He had been employed as a laborer at the family business, Collins Brothers Sawmill in L’Anse. Jeremy enjoyed playing the guitar, hunting, fishing, grilling, camping and spending time with his family. Jeremy had a strong Christian faith.
Jeremy is survived by his loving family; father Tom Collins (Jenny Carr) of Houghton, MI, siblings Jerod Collins of Watton, Jesse (Cassie) Collins of Watton, Jake Collins (Lina Cadeau) of L’Anse, Christopher Collins of L’Anse, Ashley (Brian) Davis of Taylor, MI, Kelsey Collins of Ishpeming, Tyler Collins of South Range, Brody Collins of Combined Locks, WI, Kyle Chagnon of Iron Mountain, Jake Palomaki of Ishpeming, and Bobby Tembreull of Escanaba. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. He was preceded in death by his mother Candy, and his grandparents.
Funeral services for Jeremy will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at the Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L’Anse with Pastor Mark Broberg officiating. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service. Immediately following the funeral service, the family invites friends to join them for fellowship and a luncheon in the Harrington Gathering Room, located at the funeral home.
