Jeanne K. Rabine, 73, a resident of Hancock and a former Painesdale resident, passed away Saturday, December 23, 2023, at her home following a brief illness.
Jeanne was born on May 28, 1950, in Hancock, to the late Ero and Elna (Keto) Siirila. She was raised in Painesdale and graduated from Jeffers High School with the class of 1968. Jeanne attended the Northern Michigan University Skills Center. She then was married for a short time and had one son, Joel, and lived in Lower Michigan. She moved back to the Copper Country where she began working for Kmart. Jeanne began her career with Janis Home Health and eventually Portage Home Health from where she retired. Since 2005, she has made her home in Hancock.
Jeanne was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in South Range. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, playing cards, and spending time with her fur babies.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister-in-law Judie Siirila, and a brother-in-law Ray Peterson.
She is survived by her son: Joel Rabine of Marquette

Many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and her fur baby, Emi.
A memorial service for Jeanne will be held at 12 pm on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Grace Lutheran Church in South Range with Rev. Bucky Beach to officiate. Spring burial will take place in the Mt. View Cemetery in South Range.
Friends may call on Saturday, January 13, from 11 am until the time of services at the church.
