Jeanette M. Waldowski, 80, formerly of Houghton, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2020, at Mission Point in Hancock.
She was born November 29, 1939, in Detroit, a daughter of the late Vitold and Sylvia (Ahonen) Waldowski, and was a 1960 graduate of the Redford Twp. High School.
Jeanette worked as a nurse’s aide in Detroit, and later worked at Cypress Manor in Hancock.
Jeanette attended Hope Fellowship. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles and will be remembered for her friendliness and contagious smile.
Jeanette is survived by her cousins, Agnes (David) Pyykkonen of Houghton, Jean Garcia of Shreveport, Louisiana, Roger Ahonen of Centennial Heights and David Ahonen of Boston Loc., as well as extended family.
A private service will be held on Tuesday, October 27, 2020, at the Jukuri-Antila Funeral Home in Hancock, with Pastor Jon Kangas to officiate. Interment will be in the Oskar Cemetery.
