SOUTH RANGE
Jarod Allen Lompre, 44, of South Range, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 8, 2020.
He was born on April 9, 1975, in Calumet, a son of Gary and Marilyn (Maki) Lompre.
Jarod was a 1994 graduate of Jeffers High School.
On August 9, 2003, he was married to Patrice Kangas in Hancock and made their home in South Range.
Jarod was self-employed as a flooring installer for the past 20 years, and was always willing to help anyone who needed it. He was a very crafty, talented, hardworking man with a big heart. He was also a wonderful cook; enjoyed hunting and doing anything outdoors brought him great peace.
He is survived and will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Patrice, of South Range; children, Travis (Anita Magyar) of Wausau, WI, Reed and Myles of South Range; his mother, Marilyn of South Range; sisters, Sonya Lompre of Lake Geneva, WI, and Julie Lompre of South Range; mother-in-law, Maureen (Toivo) Salo of Tucson, AZ; father-in-law, Richard “Razz” (Erin) Kangas of Hancock; brother-in-law, Rejean (Nicole) Kangas of Three Rivers, MI; 4 nieces, Maia Prete, of Lake Geneva, WI, Isabella, Cecelia, and Elizabeth Kangas of Three Rivers, MI; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and his beloved Chihuahuas Ellie & Max.
Jarod was preceded in death by his father Gary J. Lompre.
Funeral services for Jarod will be held at Zion Lutheran Church in Hancock on Friday, March 13, 2020, with Pastor Jesse Aho to officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at the church.
