James H. Hutchinson, 68, a resident of the Scott building in Hancock passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at the Omega House in Houghton following a short illness.
He was born on October 6, 1954, in Hancock a son of the late Norman and Silvia (Patterson) Hutchinson. Jim was raised in the Hancock area and was a graduate of the Hancock High School.
Following High school Mr. Hutchinson resided in various parts of the Upper Peninsula and for the past 30 years has made his home in the Copper Country. During that time Jim had worked in various factories and construction companies.
He enjoyed spending time in the outdoors fishing and camping. Jim also enjoyed visiting with and making new friends every chance he could.
Preceding him in death were his parents and 11 brothers and sisters.

His brother and sister: Jay Hutchinson and Dovie McCarthy
Several nieces nephews and cousins.
A graveside service for Jim will be held 1:00 pm Saturday October 7, 2023, at the Woodland cemetery of Winona.
