James Andrew Gunnari of Mohawk, MI passed away on December 27th, 2023, at home in Mohawk, MI. James was born on April 7th, 1993 in Marquette, MI to Anthony Martinez and Elizabeth Hakala.
James worked as a mechanic and was a part of the Army National Guard as an Electrical Engineer.
James was an avid fisherman and loved to participate in all outdoor activities. He loved playing sports like baseball and hockey. He loved spending time in his garage and with his family and friends.
James is preceded in death by his adoptive father Alfred Gunnari and his cousin Meagan Lang.
James is survived by his adoptive mother Arlene Gunnari, his biological mother Elizabeth Hakala; his siblings Alexander Gunnari, Alfred Gunnari Jr., Alicia Whitehead (Gunnari); his children Brayden Krumm, Bentley Gunnari, Brooklyn Gunnari and their mother Taylor Nutting; he was also blessed to have his three aunts as siblings Lisa Trevathan (Gunnari), Dawn Gunnari, and Marion Gunnari. James is also survived by his special friend Jessica as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
