Gloria L. Roberts, age 68, of Baraga, MI passed away Sunday, March 10, 2019 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital, L’Anse with her loving family by her side. She was born in Sandusky, Ohio on November 6, 1950. Gloria graduated from Baraga High School in 1992. She attended the former Finlandia College in Hancock and received her degree as a CNA. Gloria was a member of St Ann’s Catholic Church, Baraga, MI. She enjoyed reading, feeding the birds and deer, all animals and was a collector of many things including movies, unicorns and knickknacks.
Gloria is survived by her loving family, daughters Ruth (Brian) Herrala of Iron Mountain, MI, Tonya Graham of Peshtigo, WI and son Paul (April) Jenkins, Jr of Baraga, grandchildren Braun Herrala of Iron Mountain, Jack Herrala of Iron Mountain, Brian Herrala Jr of Iron Mountain and Bella Jenkins of Baraga, her mother Barbara Smith of Monroeville, Ohio, her aunt and best friend Myra Meyers of Monroeville, Ohio and numerous extended family in the Ohio area.
A Memorial Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 am Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at St Ann’s Catholic Church, Baraga, MI with Father Corey Litzner, celebrant. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 10:30 am until the time of the Mass. Immediately following the Mass, friends are invited to join the family for fellowship and a luncheon in the church hall.
Interment will take place in the Baraga Cemetery, Baraga.
The Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L’Anse has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
