Gloria Jean (Perala) Lefebvre, age 78, former Lake Linden resident, passed away at her daughter’s home in Marquette, where she had lived her last few years.
She was born in Atlantic Mine, a daughter of Arnold and Mildred (Erickson) Perala. Gloria spent her early years in New Allouez and graduated from Calumet High School. Gloria was married to Urban Lefebvre on September 12, 1963. Most of her adult life, she lived in Lake Linden.
Many people would remember her as the manager of the Econofoods Deli in Houghton.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, gardening, and canning. Her grand-dogs were a big part of her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister-Lois Immonen.
She is survived by: her husband-Urban J. Lefebvre; 3 children-Linda (Scott) Boyak of Marquette, Lee Rae (Mark) Frohmader of Lake Linden, and Niles (Lisa Gormely) Lefebvre of Marquette; grandchildren-Victor and Tierra Frohmader and Tabytha and Torrey Boyak; great-grandchildren-Bradyn, Ryan, and Allison; siblings-Lyne (Clem) Goldsworthy of Carney, MI, Betty Kaiponen of Port Orchard, WA, Arnold (Jean) Perala of Lake Linden, Peter (Irene) Perala of Wayne, MI, and Curtis Perala of Houghton.
At Gloria’s request, funeral services will be private. The Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden is in charge of arrangements.
