Franklin Township
Glen Kotila, 68, a resident of Franklin Township, unexpectedly passed away at home Thursday March 5, 2020.
He was born on September 14, 1951. In Hancock, a son of the late Benjamin and Margaret (Chopp) Kotila. Glen was raised in Coburn Town and was a graduate of the Hancock High School.
Mr. Kotila worked on the boats sailing the Great Lakes for a short time before moving to the Detroit area where he worked as a truck driver for Diamond Industries. He moved back to the Copper County and resided in Hancock before moving to make his home in Franklin Township. He had worked as at the Houghton County Medical Care Facility.
Glen was a artist that enjoyed drawing and painting. He also enjoyed walking and visiting with family and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents, his infant brother Philip, his brother Gil, his niece Karen Meyers and his niece Lynn Kotila.

A private graveside service for Glen will be held later this spring in the Lakeside Cemetery of Hancock.
