HANCOCK
George C. Miller, 83, a former Hurontown resident, died Monday, October 29, 2018, at the Houghton County Medical Care Facility in Hancock.
He was born March 3, 1935, in Hancock, a son of the late George and Viola (Buckman) Miller and attended the Isle Royale School in Dodgeville.
George worked at Messner Contracting as a dump truck driver and landscaper.
George loved playing his guitar and listening to country music. He enjoyed doing yard work and being in the outdoors.
George is survived by two daughters, Mary Woolman of Hancock, and Beth (Craig) Matherly of Jacksboro, Tenn.; five grandchildren, Rochelle, Christopher, Jon, Damien and Domanick; two great-grandchildren, Rihanna and Jariya; a sister, Mildred Beauchamp of Hurontown; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his parents, George was also preceded in death by six brothers.
George’s family would like to express their thanks to the staff at the Houghton County Medical Care Facility for the wonderful care they provided and to Little Brothers Friends of the Elderly for their kindness and support.
