Obituary: Elsie E. Lundy

Elsie E. Lundy, age 89 of L’Anse, MI passed away on Tuesday, April 25th, 2023 at her home with her family by her side.

She was born September 30, 1933 in Adams Township, MI daughter of Matt and Pearl (Ruona) Korpinen. Elsie married John Lundy on September 30, 1950; they resided in L’Anse. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Houghton, MI.

Elsie was a very loving mother and grandmother and was very giving to everyone. She always wanted to help out, no matter what the cost..

Surviving are her daughter Susan (Tom) Collins of L’Anse; son John (Connie) Lundy of Ortonville, MI; daughters-in-law, Robin Lundy of Redford, MI, Cindy Lundy of L’Anse; grandchildren, John, Wade, Thomas, Jason, Jeremy, Steven, Jessica, Brian J., Joshua; 15 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death are her husband John Lundy; sons, Jerel and Brian Lundy; daughter Paula Lundy; brothers, Matt Korpi, Edward, Fredrick, and Walter Korpinen; sister Sylvia Whitty; and a granddaughter Clarissa Daniels.

Burial will be in the L’Anse Evergreen Cemetery. Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
