Edward John LeRue, 51-year-old resident of Baraga MI, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 15th, 2022.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Pearl Ann LeRue and father, Hubert LeRue.
Surviving are; “His Person”, Michelle Mae Auge-LeRue, stepson Mark (Ella) Gazlay, son Edward John LeRue Jr, son Ethan (Abbi) Clayton LeRue, brother Rodney LeRue, sister Kimberley Strasdin, sister Shanel LeRue, grandchildren Mark Gazlay Jr, Isabella Gazlay, Scott Winey, Garrett Winey and Riley Winey
Ed enjoyed the simple things in life like, playing pinnacle and cribbage with family and friends, spending time in the woods hunting and fishing or just driving through the many wooded areas of the upper peninsula. He was a big personality with a big heart whose work as a substance abuse counselor at New Day Treatment Center, made an even bigger impact on the lives he touched.
A Celebration of Life Luncheon will be held this FRIDAY, March 18th, 2022 from 11am until 1pm in the Harrington Gathering Room, located at the Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L’Anse.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, please donate to a substance abuse program.
